Customer FAQ

Q 1 .   There is an "unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" yellow bang on Device Manger when plug-in USBCE2A1C on my DELL XPS 13 Windows 10?
Answer:

This is a known issue with the USB-C port of some DELL XPS models. You may see a yellow bang on Device Manage and an error message on screen like below.

It's due to power insufficient on the USB-C port. This has been discussed in the Dell support forum.

By lowering the Power Output of the internal Wi-Fi adapter to 75% would fix the problem.

Instructions:

Open Device Manager, Expand the "Network Adapters", Double click the Dell Wireless adapter and select "Advanced" tab. Scroll down and select "Power Output" from Property and select 75% in the "Value" drop down and click OK.

Unplug and plug-in USBCE2A1C adapter. If yellow bang still there, reboot the system.
